Mommy, take my picture

Just alittle something funny from bathtime recently. Compliments of our very own comedian.

Summertime Fun

Ok, really. Here are just a few pictures that I had ready to put online. The stories and better pictures are coming...thanks for the prodding and patience. It's been a busy but super fun summer. Now I'm ready to hunker down since the snow has made an early appearance much to my dismay and Hudson's delight.

Happy 4 Month Birthday Abigail

Oh how we love you little one. Whatever would we do without your ever joyful presence. You hold nothing back when something pleases you, smiling as big as your little face allows while throwing your head back in sheer excitement. You so love to watch Hudson run and jump around the house, rewarding him, and us, with your sweet giggles. No matter what kind of day Daddy has at work, he knows he can come home to a little girl whose eyes will light up and begin to sparkle when she hears his voice. Oh yes, we do so love you Abigail. Thank you for four wonderful months. We are so blessed to have you.

Everyone should have an Uncle like mine

Why I love my uncle:

He has water balloon fights with me & Daddy (& Mommy)

Teaches me how to feed squirrels

Fetches things like his socks out of the cold, cold river when I throw them in, then still throws rocks with me.

and gives me piggy back rides when I'm too tired to walk.

May at a glance - part 3

Hudson often asks for "abigew" to lay in bed with him. It's so sweet as he loves to read books to her and show her the stars on the ceiling. He'll say things like "look abigew, see stars up dere?" I just love it. He is an adoring brother.

Again - he loves to be with her. He is a big rough, as to be expected, but whenever he bumps her he tells her, "sorry buddy" in the sweetest little voice. Ahh, just love it!

Now that the weather is finally nice, we have been spending lots and lots of time at the parks. Our little fearless climber gets bored with the playgrounds made for his age group, he likes to climb and slide on those that are a bit big and challenging. He is such a little go getter in life! I can't wait to see what God has in store for him.

Ohh, the eyelash picture! Abigail was blessed to have been given Dan's eyes. She has the longest, curled eyelashes. Whenever she learns to bat them we're in trouble. I have a feeling her daddy may just cave!

May at a glance - part 2

We went to the farm one weekend and enjoyed some time with Great Grandma Bittle, or as Hudson calls her "Geep Gamma". Hudson just loves her. She loves to laugh and laugh and is still a kid at heart & the life of the party.

It's now been three weeks since we've been to the farm and not a day, or even afternoon goes by without Hudson saying, "mommy, remember tractor farm?" He asks daily to go back and ride the tractor. The entire weekend he rode in the back of that cart, even in the rain till we'd call it quits. It's his happy place & I think we may just have a farmboy on our hands.

May was a big month for Dan as he turned 30. His spirit is still just a kid though as he was so excited to get a long board for his birthday (it's a long skateboard). We had a good old fashioned party for him at the farmhouse.

This one is one of my favorites - each morning Hudson crawls into bed with Abigail and I and gets some snuggles in with his little "abigew". He kisses all over her and loves to pet her head. Really, I begin each day with a full heart and smile. It just doesn't get any better than this.

May at a glance - part 1

She's so happy & joyful. This month Abigail started laughing for us!

8th Anniversary! Proud to be celebrating 8 wonderful years together!

Abigail celebrated her 2nd month birthday, although we gladly ate the cake for her.

Finally over the colic and sleeping well. She takes wonderful naps and sleeps well at night too. Praise the Lord, we all made it through -sanity in tact!
